Hello,

I’m Karen, and I am the founder of Reactive Dog Reboot.

I have over a decade of experience working professionally with dogs. My interest in animals since a child had always been apparent but my interest in dog behaviour and training sparked when I helped out as volunteer at a local riding school and boarding/training kennels

I went on to work in dog grooming salons before opening my own, which I kept for many years and thoroughly enjoyed, I gave up dog grooming in 2019 as I was very ill and had an organ transplant to save my life, a year to recover and then back to doing what I love, working with dogs.

My passion is helping dogs with major behavioural problems. It is interesting to see how people perceive dogs… I’ve trained hundreds of dogs over the years; my own dogs love the extra playmates that come and stay for residential training—I use my own well balanced dogs as my stooge dogs to help with the educational training processes. A dog’s behaviour can change quickly depending on the severity of the problem with other relaxed well-mannered dogs around them.

I adore my work and run a successful business. It helps when at the consultation a fresh pair of eyes can often see where the solution lies and has the ability to fix the problems quickly.

I cover a large area, much of my work is in: London, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, and Oxfordshire.

My vocation in life was to work with animals, I spent 25 years working with dogs as well as horses. Dogs have always been my favourite though and for many years, owned my own thoroughbreds, including breeding 2 and keeping them, so I turned to purely working with dogs, either grooming or training.

I lean more towards behavioural issues now, as I felt a strong pull towards behavoural issues in dogs, so decided to concentrate my work in that area, I have a keen interest in working out what is actually going on inside the dog’s brain and body which fascinates me. I am lucky to have gained so much experience over the years giving me extensive knowledge with many different breeds, some of them showing breed traits which owners have not been able to cope with. It is vital to understand how to modify or just manage in some cases.

I have attended many seminars, courses and workshops with some top UK trainers/behaviourists.

I tend to hold special interests in reactivity and aggression problems with all breeds of dogs.

I currently own 6 dogs: Cleo and Chilli are my latest dogs who I rehomed in January t( both from Gumtree) they are both brown dobergirls, Cleo is 2 yrs and Chilli has just turned a year old, I then have Rupert my rottie who is 6yrs, Logan my oldest at 14yrs, followed by Harley, my Skye Terrier 3 yrs, Eddie my pom x breed 3 yrs old.
